A Note from Alicia Kearns
It is the privilege of my life to represent you as your Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton. My aim is to be your champion.
I can wish for no better place for my young son to grow up than the stunning market towns and villages of Rutland and Melton. Our family is honoured to live and build our lives here in the most beautiful part of Britain and are proud to call it home.
My career has been dedicated to our national security and defeating terror groups to keep our country safe. I want to bring to Parliament my understanding of the threats we face and how to overcome them. I want to use my knowledge of how Westminster works to get Parliament to do more for our communities.
I grew up in a tiny village in Cambridgeshire, and I understand the needs of rural communities and know how often they are forgotten and don’t receive their fair share of central Government funding. My priorities are to protect our rural way of life, secure the funds we need to deliver exceptional health care, broadband, roads, and social care, and to keep us safe.
As a Conservative, I am first and foremost a democrat. I’m asking for your support to finally get Brexit done. We all want Government to return its focus to the things that matter most to us every day; our safety, our health, the economy, education, and opportunities for our children and loved ones.
Yours faithfully,
Alicia
