Meet Jacob Wilkinson. I’ve been a member of the Conservative Party for 15 years and I’ve been an additional member of the association’s management committee since 2018. I am also a councillor on Melton Borough Council, representing the Melton Sysonby ward.
As a resident of Melton Mowbray, I have enjoyed living here now for over 23 years. As a business owner based at Asfordby Business Park, I employ local people and am in touch with the needs of local working families.
I represent Newport ward as a Borough Councillor and Melton East as a County Councillor. I have lived in Melton since 1973, working for Mars as an an Occupational Health Nurse for 20 years.
Malise has represented Wymondham ward l since May 1987. During his time as a Councillor, he served as Mayor of the Borough of Melton during the 1993-94 Civic Year and was Leader of Melton Borough Council for a total of 14 years over this time.
First elected to the Council in 2015, Leigh was elected to Deputy Leader of Melton Borough Council in May 2016. Leigh has an excellent working relationship with the Leader, Joe Orson, and the rest of the Conservative team on the Council.
I have lived in Melton since 1980, having completed an overseas tour with the RAF. We raised a family here who now live in the borough and like us love the place.
I am an experienced Councillor, being initially elected to serve the Craven Ward in 2011 and elected as Mayor in 2015. I was delighted to be elected along side Rob Bindloss in May 2019.
Ronnie de Burle has lived in Asfordby for over 49 years. Ronnie grew up in Somerby where his parents managed the Rose & Crown pub. The family later moved to Pickwell.
