Nick Begy – Greetham Ward
Tel: 07890 530477

Nick says:
I became your local ward member in 2016 after the death of my father
who has served you for over 15 years. My pledge at the time was to
support and fight for the villages in the ward, that have played such an
important part in my life since we moved here over 35 years ago.
In the 3 years I have been your elected member, I have worked with
the community on projects such as speeding, with successful projects
in Greetham, and shortly Thistelton. I have worked hard to protect our
beautiful villages, and have forced home guidelines on the conversion of
dutch barns, and fought on many application which would be detrimental
to the beauty of our villages and county. I have fought for many residents
on issues such as housing, environmental health, and child welfare, and
have made myself available at all times to help local residents.
I am passionate about Rutland, as a county, and have championed
initiatives on child mental health, and to get young people active, backed
up with years of volunteering with local sports clubs coaching young
people. Indeed, in memory of my father I chair a local charity which has
helped 10 young people begin to make their dreams and ambitions come
Thank you for re-electing me  2nd May 2019 , I will continue to listen to
you and fight for our local community.
