One of my priorities is to maintain and improve our health care services and, as part of the Adult and Health Scrutiny Panel, we have ensured that our health services continue to deliver excellent care.
I have represented our villages on the Rutland Water Partnership, resulting in more litter bins, better changing facilities and more visitor signage which has helped to reduce traffic jams, more work has been done installing new barriers for quicker access and exit from car parks. I have also been working with my fellow councillors to find ways to address the issue of speeding through our villages.
After making your views heard over the proposed one-way system in Oakham, I represented you on the Oakham Task and Finish Group.
This delivered a comprehensive report to Cabinet on improvements the residents of Rutland would like to see in their High Street.
Recently, I have been involved in setting up the Oakham Regeneration Partnership which will seek funding for implementing Oakham town centre improvements and will ensure that some of our much-needed long-term aspirations are delivered.
