As a resident of Melton Mowbray, Melton West I have enjoyed living here now for over 23 years. Currently as a business owner based at Asfordby Business Park I employ local people and am in touch with the needs of our working families.

I have represented the Dorian Ward at County Council and Borough level for over 4 years.

Over the last 4 years I have actively represented Melton Mowbray on the Adult Social Services, Health and Overview Scrutiny Committee and I was appointed Chair of Melton’s Highways Forum.

As a ex health professional working with adult social services and disability I am very passionate to ensure we retain as much local services and as much care support as possible for the residents of Melton Mowbray. I have worked hard to retain the birthing unit and other medical services.

Dog fouling I consider anti-social behaviour, and I work with the community to to prevent crime and such behaviours. The residents of the group are involved in the on-going improvement plan. It is my belief that we work closely with residents and not against them. Melton belongs to us all!

As Chairman of Melton’s Highways Forum I have been actively involved in securing 49.5 million pounds of investment to establish the relief road by 2021.

As a lover of sport, having coached at Melton Rugby Club and been a member of the coaching team for Leicester Tigers, I am very passionate about physical activity and sport. We have a great team here in Melton who are working hard to ensure our leisure vision becomes a reality and not just a dream. Melton deserves a first class sports facility for all ages and abilities.

Melton is a great place for recreation, to live, work, and socialise – I want to keep it that way!
